Studies have shown that Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) youth are at an increased risk for suicidal thoughts and behaviors, suicide attempts, and suicide. Among LGBTQ youth include depression, anxiety, substance abuse, discrimination, homophobia, violence, gender non-conformity, self-esteem issues, societal attitudes, family, religion and school.
